Zentangle artists are invited to the Swatch of Tangles by Type workshops with Nancy Domnauer, Certified Zentangle Teacher.
The unique aspect of the Swatch of Tangles by Type format is that each page on your personalized swatch will be dedicated to one pattern type.
One page of your swatch will be filled with favorite organic patterns another with grid patterns and others with linear, circular, dot grid, bold, and more. Your swatch will have 10 pages, each dedicated to one type of pattern.
We will explore the Zentomology of Tangles as we tangle beautiful patterns into our swatches.
During each class, I will teach approximately 12 tangle patterns. Over the course of the series, students will tangle and shade more than 35 tangle patterns into their swatches.

Class 1: Build Your Swatch: 1-hour class
Class 2: Tangle Patterns into Swatch: 2.5-hour class
Class 3: Tangle Patterns into Swatch: 2.5-hour class
Class 4: Tangle Patterns into Swatch: 2-hour class
Classes will be taught live via Zoom and video recorded and sent to all enrolled.
Imagine enjoying your Zentangle practice and looking through your handmade swatch of patterns to find favorite patterns to tangle.
Your swatch will be a personalized, one-of-a-kind reference tool. You will be able to continually add patterns and pages as your Zentangle practice develops.
CLASS SUPPLY LIST:
• Zentangle 5xPhive tiles (10 tiles) or make your own 5” x 5” square tiles from Fabriano Tiepolo paper or your favorite paper for tangling;
• Sakura Micron 01 or PN, black ink pen;
• graphite pencil and tortillon;
• a ruler;
• one-hole punch;
• binder ring 1.0” or 1.5” (available from office supply stores)
The binder ring design allows tanglers to expand and build their handmade swatches as their Zentangle practice develops.
