The Peaceful Tangles Retreat is a relaxing and enjoyable 2-day tangling event for Zentangle artists and CZTs.

The retreat will meet on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in beautiful Morgan Hill, California.

Retreat workshops include traditional tangling as well as Zentangle inspired art projects taught by a team of enthusiastic Certified Zentangle Teachers.

Participants enjoy Zentangle art workshops, soothing meditations, lively group activities, time for socializing, special surprises and more!

Participation in the retreat is open to Zentangle artists, CZTs and anyone with Zentangle experience.


 

We're happy to announce that the CZTs who will be teaching at the 2026 retreat are Karen Corvan from Nevada, Harper Ingram from California, Deb Page from Nevada, Kathie Taylor from Nevada, and Nancy Domnauer from California.

We look forward to sharing our love of Zentangle with you.

We’re planning inspiring Zentangle lessons on an array of Zentangle tiles using beautiful tangling techniques and tools. You will also enjoy soothing meditations, lively group activities, time for socializing and special surprises.

At Peaceful Tangles Retreat, we tangle on an array of Zentangle tiles using a collection of quality art supplies that you receive in your gift bag. How fun!

Your CZT presenters will guide you through Zentangle workshops that allow you to focus, relax and grow as an artist.

Throughout the retreat you will learn creative new approaches, techniques and hints for creating beautiful Zentangle art.

 

You’ll enjoy the camaraderie of tangling in community and creating art within a friendly group of Zentangle artists.

The Peaceful Tangles Retreat meets at the beautiful Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. This state-of-the-art meeting venue in lovely downtown Morgan Hill, California provides a professional and pleasant setting for our art retreat.

The town of Morgan Hill is a charming community nestled in a valley between rolling, oak-studded foothills as well as forested coastal mountains. Within an hour’s drive are the scenic towns of Monterey, Carmel and Santa Cruz on the Pacific Ocean coastline.

Peaceful Tangles Retreat Information for Attendees


WELCOME ATTENDEES

Upon your enrollment, you will receive a welcome note with detailed information about the Peaceful Tangles Retreat, the hotel accommodations, along with local restaurants, charming places to visit and more.

We’re looking forward to meeting with you in the spring!


HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Attendees will receive information on hotel accommodations once they enroll.

LUNCH RECESS

You’re welcome to bring your own lunch on either or both days.  There is a kitchen on-site with refrigerators and we’re welcome to hold our lunches there. 

On both Tuesday and Wednesday we’ll have a catered lunch option available for pre-purchase.

Wednesday’s longer lunch recess will allow participants the option to dine at an array of delicious restaurants in downtown Morgan Hill.  Restaurants are a 5-minute walk from the Community Center.

 

TUESDAY EVENING DINNER:

On Tuesday evening, retreat participants and spouses are invited to meet together for dinner at 6:00 pm at a downtown Morgan Hill restaurant. This is an optional event and attendees will receive information once they enroll.

 

COMMUNICATING WITH ATTENDEES:

We believe that clear communications with attendees supports a successful event.  With that in mind, we will be sending special retreat newsletters to attendees.
