In this Zentangle inspired art class, students will learn my 4 unique and easy-to-learn recipes for incorporating shimmering, metallic watercolors onto Zentangle tiles.
We’ll use metallic and regular watercolors to create vibrant backgrounds onto Zentangle tiles.
We’ll tangle on and complete 3 tiles in class: a Bijou tile, square tile and Zendala tile. You’ll also have extra watercolor printed tiles to use on your own.
Plenty of examples will be shared so that you have inspiration for your own MapTangling with Metallic adventures.
MapTangling is a captivating Zentangle inspired art technique with incredibly appealing results.
Things to Bring to Class:
· 3 white, square Zentangle tiles;
· 3 white Zendala tiles;
· 3 white Bijou tiles;
· Micron 01 or PN black ink pen;
· Sakura gold Gelly Roll pen;
· Kuretake Starry Colors watercolors;
· set of quality watercolors (suggested brand will be send to students);
· water-brush, medium nib;
· 2 small tubs of water to rinse brushes;
· plus a few simple items that will be listed to students upon registration.
Let’s make beautiful Zentangle inspired art! During this 2-hour class, we’ll apply both metallic and regular watercolors to Zentangle tiles to create unique, attractive backgrounds for tangling.
We’ll tangle and complete 3 attractive tiles in class. You’ll enjoy Maptangling onto a Bijou tile, square tile and Zendala tile.
