Swatch of tangles by type workshop

Classes will meet live on Zoom.
Classes will be video recorded so you may participate on your own schedule.
Zentangle artists are invited to the Swatch of Tangles by Type online class with Nancy Domnauer, Certified Zentangle Teacher on Friday, June 7 at 10:00 am, PDT.
This is an exciting 2-part workshop. One registration fee covers your admission to both the May 31 preview session and the June 7 main class. All sessions will be video recorded.
First, we’ll meet for the ‘Build Your Swatch’ pre-class on Friday, May 31 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, PDT. In this session, I will take you through the steps of making the pages for your swatch. This session will be video recorded and sent to all participants.
In the class on Friday, June 7, we’ll tangle an array of pattern types and begin to fill the pages of your handmade swatch of tangles. This class meets from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, PDT.
As you fill your swatch with tangles, it will become a special collection of your favorite patterns, arranged by type.
Additional Swatch classes, where we’ll add new and familiar tangle patterns, will be offered on Friday, July 12 and Friday, August 9. Separate registration pages will open soon for these classes. Or, you may enroll in the 4-class series.
Class 1: Build a Swatch: Friday, May 31, 10:00 to 10:30 am, PDT.
Class 2: Tangle Patterns into Swatch: Friday, June 7 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, PDT.
Class 3: Tangle New and Familiar Patterns into Swatch: Friday, July 12 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, PDT.
Class 4: Tangle New and Familiar Patterns into Swatch: Friday, August 9 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, PDT.
All classes will be video recorded.
All registered students receive the video recordings.
Registration Fee: $45 covers admission to the May 31 and June 7 classes. Classes will be video recorded.
Summer Series Fee: $108 covers admission and video recordings to all 4 classes in this series. To enroll in all 4 classes, please contact me via email: Nancy@linedotcalm.com
Policy: There are no refunds on these classes.
Note: Students who participated in previous Swatch of Tangles workshops are welcome to participate again. We will be learning new patterns and re-visiting some familiar ones too.
SUPPLY LIST:
• 1 sheet of Fabriano Tiepolo printmaking paper (available at Blick.com) OR your favorite paper for tangling;
• Micron 01 or PN, black ink pen;
• graphite pencil and tortillon;
• a ruler;
• scissors;
• one-hole punch;
• binder ring 1.0” or 1.5” (available from office supply stores)
The unique aspect of this new Swatch of Tangles by Type format is that each page on your personalized swatch will be dedicated to one pattern type. For example, one page of your swatch will be filled with favorite organic patterns another with grid patterns and others with linear, circular, dot grid and more.
We will make our swatches on beautiful Fabriano Tiepolo paper. The binder ring design allows you to expand and build your handmade swatch as your Zentangle practice develops.
Imagine enjoying your Zentangle practice and looking through your handmade swatch to find favorite patterns for your artwork. Your swatch will be a personalized, one-of-a-kind reference tool. You will be able to continually add patterns and pages as your Zentangle practice develops.
